Cookies
Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. If you want to learn more about cookies, this site is written very clearly and is very informative. It also has an encyclopedia of cookies that we find very useful: Cookiepedia.
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. For details on how to do this, please click here: How to Refuse Cookies
Here are the cookies that our website is currently using:
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to anonymously track the activity on our website. Google Analytics installs three cookies to do this, all of which last two years. They allow Google Analytics to calculate visitors, sessions and campaign data and also keep track of site usage for the site’s analytics report. The cookie stores information anonymously and assigns a randomly generated number to recognize unique visitors.
To learn more about how Google Analytics uses cookies to track interactions on our website, please click here: Google Analytics Cookies Usage
GPDR Cookie Consent
Our site uses a third party plugin called GPDR Cookie Consent to inform you of our cookies usage and easily display our Privacy Policy. This plugin uses two cookies, both of which last one year. One cookie is used to record the user consent for the cookies in the “Necessary” category. The other cookie is used to record the user consent for the cookies in the “Non-necessary” category.
WooCommerce
If you shop on our site, WooCommerce installs three cookies to help manage your cart and your session.
The first cookie, called the WooCommerce Cart Hash cookie, contains information about your shopping cart. It memorizes what you added to your cart and helps WooCommerce know when the cart data changes. The second WooCommerce cookie, the WooCommerce Item in cart cookie, has the same value as the WooCommerce Cart Hash. Both of them keep the cart information and allow you to properly use the cart feature. Without them, you would not be able to add multiple products to your cart or make any changes.
The third WooCommerce cookie is the WooCommerce Session Cookie. It contains a unique code for each customer and knows where to find the cart data in the database for each customer. It lasts for two days.
Stripe
We use Stripe to process credit card payments on our site. Stripe installs two cookies when you purchase one of our items. They are both installed to prevent fraud. One lasts for 30 minutes, the other lasts for one year.
If you want to manage your Stripe cookies, you can do so here: Stripe Cookie Preferences
WordPress
If you have access to the backend of our website, WordPress installs a number of cookie to manage your login, customize your view of the admin interface, etc. These last for the duration of the session. If you want to learn more about WordPress cookies, click here: WordPress Cookies
